As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing hardware and firmware validation of residential energy storage and solar systems. You will be involved in system-level validation, root-cause analysis, and implementing hardware and firmware mitigations. You will also develop and execute test plans to ensure the validation of functions, features, and system performance.
ResponsibilitiesPerform hardware and firmware validation for residential energy storage and solar systems.Conduct system-level validation, root-cause analysis, and implement hardware and firmware mitigations.Develop and execute test plans to validate system functions, features, and performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure functional, performance, and safety requirements are met.Conduct failure analysis to understand root causes and drive resolution for testing and field failures.Engage in hands-on hardware bring up and prototyping.Develop validation test setups and test automation software.
Essential SkillsDegree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.Hands-on experience in hardware and firmware validation.Proficiency with basic electrical engineering tools such as DMM, oscilloscopes, power analyzer, power supplies, electronic loads, and CAN tools.Experience with programming languages Python, C, and C++.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with batteries, power electronics, and renewable energy products is preferred.
Work Environment
The work environment is hands-on and collaborative, involving hardware bring up and prototyping. You will utilize various electrical engineering tools and technologies, and work closely with cross-functional teams. The role requires effective communication and a strong focus on detail and safety.

This is a Contract position based out of Palo Alto, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $62.00/hr.
