Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing power and control panels, generating quotes for customers and suppliers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver optimized system solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical standards and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
ResponsibilitiesDesign power and control panels for various applications.Generate accurate quotes for customers and suppliers.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver optimized system solutions.Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Independently troubleshoot issues and identify solutions.Monitor details and quality of work according to procedures and standards.Propose or take action on tasks beyond job duties.Encourage and support collaboration among team members.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering.Experience with AutoCAD Electrical 2D/3D.Knowledge of electrical design and engineering standards, including UL508A.Ability to independently troubleshoot and solve problems.Strong communication skills.Project Management experience, including PLM.Analytical skills for problem-solving.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience within the Control Panel industry is a plus.Knowledge of hazardous location (hazloc) standards.Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.Respectful dealings for long-term, positive collaborative relationships.Work Environment
The candidate will be working in an office environment and will occasionally go out on the shop floor. They will work alongside two other Electrical Engineers on the team. The candidate will handle 5-10 projects simultaneously, requiring strong project management and time management skills. Travel is minimal, with only 5% of the time spent visiting customers on-site along with the Engineering manager.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Katy, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $60.00/hr.
