Electrical Engineer
Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Power Distribution SystemsJob Type: Full-Time/Direct Hire
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with expertise in power distribution systems and strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and/or institutional projects. This role requires a collaborative team player who understands industry codes and standards and can deliver quality electrical designs that are efficient, code-compliant, and cost-effective.
Key Responsibilities:Design and develop electrical power distribution systems, including low and medium voltage systems.Prepare electrical plans, schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical, and civil engineers throughout the design and construction process.Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and circuiting based on NEC and other applicable codes.Participate in field surveys, site visits, and construction administration activities as needed.Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and assist with troubleshooting during construction phases.Ensure designs meet client requirements, project budgets, and timelines.Stay current with emerging technologies and industry standards in electrical engineering and building systems.
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.3–5+ years of experience in electrical system design, specifically power distribution.Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local building codes.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.EIT certification is preferred; PE license is a plus.
Preferred Experience:Experience working on commercial, healthcare, educational, or industrial building projects.Familiarity with lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and emergency power systems.
