Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in Facilities Design to join our dynamic team engaged in the Strategic Systems Program (SSP) for Submarine Weapon Systems. This program has been a cornerstone for over 60 years and is expected to expand significantly, providing immense growth opportunities.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop electrical power systems, including medium and low voltage systems, lighting design, lightning protection systems, emergency power systems, generators, transformers, and uninterruptible power supplies.Conduct Load Flow Analysis, Short Circuit Studies, and Load Calculations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement MILCON facilities programs.Utilize NPFA NEC standards and Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Guide Specifications (UFGS) in design and development processes.Apply expertise in NAVSEA OP5 and electrical requirements for ordnance facilities.Work proficiently with AutoCAD, MicroStation Software, ETAP®, and SKM Software.Engage with the ongoing engineering efforts as the main systems engineering integrator for the SSP Program.Essential SkillsElectrical Engineer Degree from an ABET Accredited program.At least 6 years of professional work experience related to electrical power systems.Proficiency in MS Office Suite programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.Strong understanding of Solidly Grounded and Ungrounded Power Systems.Professional knowledge of NPFA NEC standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsDesire to attain a Professional Engineer License.Experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and Guide Specifications.Familiarity with MILCON facilities programs.Knowledge of NAVSEA OP5 standards.Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, ETAP®, and SKM Software.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $86.53/hr.
