Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description

Join a dynamic team as an Electrical Engineer focusing on Facilities Design within the defense industry. You will be part of a long-standing program with extensive growth potential, contributing to the development of strategic systems for submarine weapon systems.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop electrical power systems including medium and low voltage systems, lighting design, and lightning protection systems.Implement and oversee emergency power systems, generators, transformers, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) solutions.Conduct load flow analysis, short circuit studies, and load calculations.Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ETAP®, and SKM for design and analysis.Ensure compliance with NPFA NEC, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS).Engage in the design, development, or implementation of MILCON facilities programs.Collaborate with teams using MS Office Suite programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.Essential SkillsElectrical Engineer Degree from an ABET Accredited program.At least 6 years of professional work experience with electrical power systems.Proficiency in MS Office Suite programs.Professional knowledge of NPFA NEC and Unified Facilities Criteria.Experience with design software packages such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.Familiarity with ETAP® or SKM Software.Additional Skills & QualificationsDesire to attain a Professional Engineer License.Experience in the design and implementation of MILCON facilities programs.Understanding of NAVSEA OP5 and Electrical requirements for Ordnance facilities.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $86.53/hr.
