A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mtu products and systems. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with Rolls-Royce's QHSE standards and delivering exceptional technical solutions to our customers. You will be the go-to person for addressing electrical issues and enhancing operational efficiency across client sites.
Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defense vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

Key Accountabilities
Ensure all activities are conducted in line with Rolls-Royce policies, Code of Conduct, ISO standards, Quality Management Systems, and QHSE compliance requirements.Drive continuous improvement in processes and procedures for better electrical performance and service delivery.Implement and maintain mtu product electrical quality in all areas of responsibility.Ensure all installations, systems, and applications meet customer requirements and comply with national electrical safety codes and standards.Identify and resolve potential electrical issues in mtu products through innovative and effective solutions.Analyze customer equipment needs, support cost estimation, and help prepare project budgets.Evaluate operational data, analyze malfunction reports, and coordinate troubleshooting efforts with internal and external stakeholders.Foster cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams during commissioning and technical resolutions.Maintain detailed documentation of all commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical interventions for compliance and audit trail.Travel to customer sites within the region to support installation, commissioning, or field servicing needs.Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in engine systems, preferably in the power generation or industrial engine sectors.Proven experience with electrical commissioning, system installation, and troubleshooting of high-speed engines or electrical systems.Solid knowledge of national and international electrical standards and codes.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team.Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites across Indonesia and potentially the wider region.Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.Why Join US?
