Electrical Engineer
Job Description

The Electrical Engineer will perform a wide range of inspection, engineering, and supervisory tasks to support in-house testing, installation, start-up, and service or repair of industrial equipment.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES 75% TRAVEL

ResponsibilitiesConduct inspections and engineering tasks related to the installation and start-up of industrial equipment.Perform service and repair duties on a variety of motor-controlled hydraulic and pneumatic machines.Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to ensure optimal functioning of machinery.Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to assist in equipment installation and maintenance.Communicate effectively to assist companies with the installation of new equipment and provide guidance on project and test plans.Write project plans, test plans, and equipment manuals to support engineering tasks.Essential SkillsField Service Engineering experience with motor-controlled hydraulic and pneumatic industrial machines.Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.Strong communication skills for assisting companies with equipment installations.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering is preferred.Previous experience in mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Experience with electrical systems, such as PLCs, motor controls, and sensors.Ability to travel extensively up to 70% domestically and internationally.Work Environment

When not traveling, the role will be based in an office setting working with a Field Service team of about five people. While traveling, environments can vary, including industrial settings internationally such as China, Japan, and India, where language barriers and challenging conditions like hot and dirty environments may be encountered. In the U.S., travel will be to various customer locations, primarily foundries, all of which are safe.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.65/hr.
