The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to serve as the technical conduit between our Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) design engineers and our electrical replication team. This role is critical in ensuring the successful transition of engineering designs into repeatable, high-fidelity electrical builds. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in circuit design, component selection, and system integration, with an emphasis on supporting design-for-replication and manufacturing readiness.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary liaison between UAS design engineers and the electrical fabrication/replication teamReview electrical design packages and provide feedback to improve manufacturability, repeatability, and integration workflowsRecommend alternate components based on availability, performance, and compatibility with existing platformsTranslate engineering intent into actionable build documentation, including wiring diagrams, parts lists, and work instructionsCreate and modify wiring diagrams using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN)Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues, including identifying wiring faults or design flaws and offering solutions to ensure system integritySupport system integration, troubleshooting, and test efforts for both prototype and production platformsParticipate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of electrical subsystem design standardsCollaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, systems, and test engineers to ensure successful platform builds


Qualifications:
Required: 

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldExperience supporting product development, preferably in aerospace, defense, or roboticsStrong knowledge of circuit design, cable harnessing, connectors, and power distribution systemsAbility to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentationProficient in industry-standard wiring diagram software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN, etc.)Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced prototyping or low-rate production environmentsFamiliarity with electrical troubleshooting tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and continuity testersAbility to communicate effectively between design and build teams to resolve technical challengesActive Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one


Desired:

Experience supporting unmanned systems or small aircraft electrical subsystemsFamiliarity with mil-spec components and cable standardsWorking knowledge of RF systems, EMI/EMC considerations, and signal integrityExperience using ECAD software (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) for circuit design or layoutExperience with configuration management tools or PLM systems

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$69,600 - 142,700 USD
