Location: Bolton, Ontario

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 96K-152K (for a 10+ years of experience)

About the Client

Our client, a division of a global leader in aluminum equipment manufacturing, is a Quebec-based company specializing in the sale and maintenance of lifting and industrial machinery. With operations in Quebec City, Saguenay, and the Greater Toronto Area, they serve major industries including metalworking, mining, and paper manufacturing. They are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Bolton, ON operations.

Position Summary

The Electrical Engineer will provide technical expertise in the design, planning, evaluation, and commissioning of electrical systems for cranes and other industrial equipment. This role involves both on-site and workshop responsibilities, including modernization projects, compliance work, and support for new installations.

Key Responsibilities

Design and size electrical systems (power, control, automation) for industrial machinery.

Modernize and ensure compliance of electrical installations (new and existing equipment).

Identify replacement solutions for obsolete electrical components.

Support and supervise electrical design technicians as needed.

Provide technical assistance to internal teams, suppliers, and clients.

Participate in testing and commissioning activities in-house and at client sites.

Lead small-scale projects ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Contribute to improving engineering processes, tools, and documentation.

Assist in bid proposals including preliminary designs and engineering estimates.

Travel to customer sites for assessments, installation, and commissioning.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario.

Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial setting.

Solid knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and CSA Z432 (machine safety).

Familiarity with Rockwell Studio 5000, RSLogix, FactoryTalk View (asset).

Experience with lifting equipment is an asset.

Working knowledge of CCW, Zelio Soft, VMware Workstation (asset).

Basic French (asset).

Valid G class driver’s license required.
