With over a century of experience, knowledge, and innovation embedded in the designs, our large electric motors and generators are custom engineered to meet unique operating conditions. The synchronous motors are capable of driving some of the largest centrifugal compressors in the world in critical application such as natural gas pipelines, production of LNG and other hydrocarbon processing. The generators convert energy into electricity for utilities, packaged mobile, FPSOs, offshore, and renewable applications like geothermal and concentrated solar plants.

The Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Department is an international engineering organization with over 25 engineers in the UK, the Netherlands and Czech Republic.  For development, new build- and services projects, you are the main engineer designing the generators and motors. You will become our Subject Matter Expert who will be involved in projects for the complete lifecycle i.e. from scratch up to production phase but also advise end users for upgrades, retrofits etc.

As Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for:

Analysing and designing large electric motors and generators and their main components like rotor and statorInitiating/supervising tests on the test stand in our Czech factoryBeing jointly responsible for technical order specifications, including the required quality requirements or inspection requirements at suppliers and incoming goodsProviding technical support to the purchasing department with supplier qualificationEnsuring that all design and technological outputs comply with technical and safety requirements, including environmental requirementsInitiating technical and process improvements by application of modern trends in technology and designPerforming trouble shooting on operational issues with machines in operation, to support availability of our machines for our global customers on siteSupporting our sales department with proposing new concepts or solutions to customers

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Have knowledge/experience with computer simulations (e.g. Matlab)

Have professional proficiency in English
