Electrical Engineer, R&D Sustainment

This Electrical Engineer role will support sustainment projects, working with other product engineers, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management to ensure project success. With coaching and mentorship, you will develop, modify, evaluate, and verify electronic components for medical devices. This is a unique opportunity to learn all areas of Stryker and to work with a variety of products. The project timeline is fast paced, and you will work to both solve problems and create efficiencies within the Stryker Instruments product lines.
This role is hybrid in Portage, MI with the expectation to be in office 3 days a week.

**What you will do:**
+ Apply circuit and electrical system testing methods; assist with bench testing and failure analysis.
+ Support problem-solving by identifying and evaluating solutions against technical requirements.
+ Learn and apply medical device regulations, industry standards, and test strategies.
+ Create and maintain engineering documentation in compliance with design control procedures.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory.
+ Gain hands-on experience while learning relevant procedures, systems, and risk management practices.
**What you need:**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
+ 0+ years of work experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Proficiency in interpreting circuit schematics, running electrical simulations, and proposing alternate components.
+ Experience with CAD, CAE, or simulation tools for design and concept generation.
+ Strong understanding of electrical components, design processes, and manufacturing methods.
+ Ability to perform parametric comparisons to identify alternate or end-of-life components.
+ Familiarity with documentation, data analysis, and the change control process.
+ Basic embedded systems programming knowledge and application.
