Hybrid – Torrance, CAOur Test Systems Engineering team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for an Electrical Development Engineer to join them. You will report to the Test Equipment Section Head and will have a hybrid 9/80 work schedule in Torrance, CA.
As an Electrical Development Engineer at Moog, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing advanced test equipment that supports cutting-edge systems. You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team focused on creating innovative, reliable solutions.
As an Electrical Development Engineer, you will:
Help conceptualize and design automated mechanical and hydraulic test rigs.
Perform trade studies and analyses to validate design concepts and solve technical challenges.
Support proposal efforts by contributing to design concepts, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
Collaborate closely with other Test Equipment engineers throughout the design and development process.
Represent Moog’s technical excellence in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
Drive design reliability through hands-on experimental development and testing.
Contribute across the full development lifecycle—from initial concept and planning to detailed design and testing.
To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll typically bring:
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
At least 2 years of experience in electrical design, testing, or manufacturing
It would be nice if you had:
Experience developing electronic devices or control systems
Background working on development programs as part of a project team
Familiarity with electro-hydraulic, electromechanical, or electro-pneumatic servo systems
Skills in requirements definition, integration, verification & validation, modeling/simulation, and project management
Experience in the aerospace industry
A Master’s degree in Engineering

Salary Range Transparency:
Torrance, CA $85,000.00–$115,000.00 AnnuallySalary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
