System One is seeking an Electrical Designer Group Leader in Cannonsburg, PA to serve as a first line supervisor responsible for single discipline coordination of design and drafting projects. This is a great opportunity to permanently join an engineering company serving 6 principal industrial markets: metals, glass, oil & gas, chemical, power, and light manufacturing.

+ Pay rate range: $104,000 - $135,000/yr. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Acts as single discipline coordinator of all drafting activities of a contract, including first line supervision of design and drafting personnel.
+ Distributes workload within his group and coordinates manpower with other group leaders within the department.
+ Works closely with Engineers and/or performs basic engineering design functions to enhance the drafting and the design intent.
+ Provides advice and guidance to all drafting personnel within the assigned group.
+ Responsible for budget and schedule, as well as timely progress reporting on assigned contracts.
+ Daily contact with clients; expected to establish and maintain relationships with clients and to assist in sales and marketing efforts.
+ Assists the Lead Engineer in staffing evaluations.
SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ Typically twenty (20) years of work experience in drafting and design
+ Associate’s degree from a trade school or college.
+ General computer knowledge and experience with at least one (1) CADD program are required.
+ Experience with 3D design is preferred.
INTERRELATIONSHIPS
Extensive, effective communication throughout the company is expected. Frequent contact with clients, vendors, and all levels of divisional management.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Mostly inside office work; however, travel and field assignments may be necessary to both initiate and complete projects. Expected to monitor personal and group workload with respect to overtime.

A self-starter and independent thinker with excellent communication skills and good leadership skills. Persons at this level should be flexible in job assignments, travel, and working schedules. A thorough understanding of technical fundamentals within discipline is required
