Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will conduct comprehensive engineering calculations, load calculations, equipment selection, energy analysis, and other essential tasks. You will manage time and budget effectively to meet project deliverables and schedules, utilizing AutoCAD and Revit to complete drawings. Your role involves calculating power and lighting loads for new and existing building systems, reviewing local and national codes, and performing code analyses. You will also design life safety systems such as fire alarms and select and design layouts of electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, electrical panels, emergency generators, UPS systems, and power distribution systems.

Responsibilities

Conduct engineering calculations, load calculations, and energy analysis.Select and design layouts of electrical equipment.Calculate power and lighting loads for building systems.Review local and national codes and perform code analyses.Design life safety systems, including fire alarms.Manage time and budget to meet project deliverables and schedules.Utilize AutoCAD & Revit to complete drawings.

Essential Skills

Degree in Electrical Engineering5-8 years of experience in electrical design for building systemsProficiency in AutoCAD MEP and RevitExperience in load calculationExperience managing small to medium-sized projectsStrong written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment

The position requires working in an office environment four days a week, with remote work on Fridays. The team consists of 2 architects, 6 engineers, principals, and admin staff, totaling about 15-20 people. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
