Description
This role is ideal for experienced electrical engineers passionate about automation and industrial design. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop electrical systems for advanced material handling and automation solutions. The position requires strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems using AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN.Create and maintain electrical schematics and support documentation throughout the build cycle.Perform engineering calculations to ensure design integrity, reliability, and compliance with specifications.Apply knowledge of North American safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, UL, OSHA) to assess and adapt global designs.Lead or contribute to safety validation documentation, including SISTEMA files.Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure successful project execution.Support the development of departmental standards, templates, and training materials.Estimate material costs and design hours for new projects.Research and justify electrical component selections; submit purchase orders.Participate in project kickoff meetings and maintain schedule and budget commitments.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.Proficiency in EPLAN and AutoCAD Electrical.Strong understanding of automation systems and material handling equipment.Familiarity with safety standards and validation tools.Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.Ability to travel up to 20% for layout confirmation, inspections, and run-offs.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in industrial automation or machine tool environments.Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to departmental growth.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Comfortable working in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum ten (10) years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer in an industrial/engineering/automation environment. Experience with EPLAN and AutoCAD Electrical required.

Ability to convert and perform engineering calculations in all units of measure, using appropriate levels of accuracy and units of precision. Ability to compute and conduct equipment process related rate analyses, determine critical ratios, and percent values of interdependent relationships and to convey complex findings in simple to interpret graphs and/or other types of visualizations.

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
