Job Description
The Controls Design Engineer II is responsible for providing electrical and controls design for product improvements related to the electrical and controls infrastructure of manufactured product lines. This role also involves coordinating site-wide drawings as applicable to site and project requirements. The design activities are crucial to ensuring that equipment, sites, and projects are built and applied according to engineering documents, manufacturing, and other standards such as UL and NEC. The primary goals are safety, quality, functionality, and conformity of products. This position requires independent work as well as collaboration, contributing to moderately complex aspects of projects.
ResponsibilitiesProvide electrical and controls design for product improvements.Coordinate site-wide drawings according to project specifications.Ensure equipment and projects adhere to engineering documents and standards like UL and NEC.Contribute to moderately complex aspects of projects.Inspect products in-progress in manufacturing for quality assurance.Essential SkillsElectrical engineering degree.Minimum of 2 years of related experience.Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent software.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, single lines, product manuals, and control drawings.Knowledge of UL, NEC, and NFPA 79 standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.Detail-oriented with a positive can-do attitude.Ability to collaborate with other teams.Work Environment
Hybrid work arrangement with 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home. The role involves interfacing with production as builds progress to ensure projects are completed on time and with quality. The remainder of the time will be spent in an office setting, working behind a CAD screen.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
