Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in digital systems, instrumentation, and controls, with a preference for experience in Nuclear Design Engineering. This role requires the ability to work independently and provide mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring the preparation and verification of engineering products and services with minimal oversight.
ResponsibilitiesIndependently perform highly complex engineering tasks requiring knowledge and experience with nuclear industry standards and regulations.Prepare, review, and verify engineering products with minimum oversight.Lead engineering teams and effectively communicate technical solutions to resolve problems and coordinate design production.Develop and coordinate Engineering Changes (ECs) for plant systems and equipment.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex projects.Maintain a working-level understanding of plant design basis and engineering fundamentals.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on safety-related and non-safety nuclear systems.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical Engineering highly preferred).Minimum eight years of engineering or related experience, or minimum one year as Engineer I.Strong technical skills in digital systems, instrumentation, and controls.Demonstrated ability to work independently without technical oversight.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with strong self-management skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsNuclear Design Engineering experience.Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS).Experience with nuclear plant modifications and system upgrades.Familiarity with nuclear regulatory requirements and industry codes.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
