Electrical Design Engineer
Cannonsburg, PA 15317
System One is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Cannonsburg, PA to perform design calculations and problem solving along with supervisory and administrative duties both on projects and within the engineering department. This is a great opportunity to permanently join an engineering company serving 6 principal industrial markets: metals, glass, oil & gas, chemical, power, and light manufacturing.

Direct hire position
Pay rate range: $104,000 - $135,000/yr. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Work schedule: Monday through Friday, standard business hours
Job offer will be contingent on drug screen and background check
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Calculations and checking of calculations.
Problem solving as it relates to all types of field issues.
Administrative and supervisory duties on projects of all sizes.
Preparation and review of construction engineering estimates.
Manage and supervise electrical aspects of the assigned electrical design team.
Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards with in-depth knowledge of the National Electric Code.
Knowledge of cable sizing and application of wiring methods.
Specifying and applying electrical power system components.
Interface with client’s project team.
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
5 years of related experience and competency
Must have knowledge and experience with industrial electrical installations and power systems.
Knowledge of electrical construction methods, familiarity with heavy industrial applications
E.I.T. / P.E. registration a plus.
INTERRELATIONSHIPS
Competency in conducting meetings with groups comprised of both internal and external personnel. Significant contact with vendors, clients, and all levels of divisional management.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Mostly inside work; however, travel and overtime may be necessary to both initiate and complete projects.
NEEDED ATTRIBUTES
A person at this level needs to focus on client service through job quality and problem solving. Person at this level should also be flexible in job assignments, travel, and working schedules.
