Make It With Pride.** You play an important role in the department, responsible for ensuring high reliability, safety, and efficiency of all electrical and automation systems across the biscuit and snack production areas. This role covers both power distribution systems and PLC/automation controls, focusing on maintaining equipment uptime, supporting continuous improvement, and driving digital maintenance initiatives. The position requires strong troubleshooting capability, analytical skill, and close collaboration with maintenance, production, and safety teams to ensure smooth plant operations. **Job Description:** 1) PLC / HMI Maintenance & Troubleshooting Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron) across biscuit and snack lines. - Automation downtime. 2) Program Optimization & Improvement Modify and optimize PLC logic and HMI interfaces to improve line performance, safety interlocks, and process reliability. - Implementation of logic improvements per plan. 3) Instrumentation & Control Devices Maintain sensors, actuators, encoders, and control loops for ovens, conveyors, mixers, and packaging systems. - Sensor and actuator failure rate reduction. 4) Digitalization & Data Integration Support integration of PLC data into Power BI / MES dashboards for performance monitoring and predictive maintenance. - Real-time line data accuracy (PM 5 Ready). 5) Power Distribution System Maintenance Manage and maintain plant LV/MV electrical systems, including MCC panels, switchboards, transformers, and generators. - Electrical system uptime ≥ 99%. 6) Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Plan and execute PM activities for electrical equipment (switchgears, drives, motors, VFDs) in coordination with maintenance planners. - PM compliance ≥ 95%. 7) Electrical Safety (PSM7) & Compliance Ensure compliance with statutory electrical safety standards, LOTO, and permit-to-work (PTW) procedures. - Zero electrical-related LTI. 8) Root Cause & Reliability Analysis Perform RCA for electrical failures, propose corrective actions, and lead improvements in system reliability. – MTBF and MTBB improvement. 9) Team & Training Support Provide technical guidance and training to technicians and operators on electrical and automation systems. - Skill matrix improvement. 10) Project & Installation Support Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new machines, power panels, and automation systems. 11) IL6S / TPM Support Support PM and AM pillars in IL6S for loss elimination and reliability improvement. 12) Documentation & CMMS Update Maintain up-to-date electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and PLC program backups in CMMS. **More about this role** **Requirements:** 1) Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering. 2) Competent Electrical Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers under the Registration of Engineers Act 1967. 3) Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical and automation maintenance within FMCG or food manufacturing (biscuit/snack preferred). 4) Experience with both PLC programming (Siemens / Allen-Bradley / Omron) and power systems (MCC, switchgear, transformers). **Technical Skills:** 1) Proficient in PLC & HMI programming, fault diagnosis, and logic optimization. Siemens and AB System Preferred. 2) Strong understanding of power distribution systems (LV/MV), load management, and electrical protection systems. 3) Skilled in VFD/servo drive systems, instrumentation, and control devices. 4) Familiar with energy monitoring systems and predictive tools (thermography, insulation resistance testing). 5) Proficient in CMMS (IFS, QAD, SAP, or EAM), AutoCAD for electrical drawings, and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI). **Competencies:** 1) Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. 2) Excellent communication and teamwork with production, QA, and utilities. 3) High commitment to safety, food compliance, and continuous improvement. 4) Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. 5) Proficiency on various digital productivity tools i.e. Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI, Scada, Quickbase. 6) Exposure to IL6S / TPM or Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) preferred.
