Electrical Assembler
Job Title: Electrical AssemblerJob Description

As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling electronic components using hand tools and soldering equipment. You will read and interpret detailed tabulated drawings and job packets to ensure accurate assembly. Additionally, you will perform visual inspections and functional testing to maintain high product quality. Your role also involves labeling and packaging finished products according to specifications, as well as maintaining accurate documentation and verifying bills of materials (BOMs).

ResponsibilitiesAssemble electronic components using hand tools and soldering equipment.Read and interpret detailed tabulated drawings and job packets.Perform visual inspections and functional testing to ensure product quality.Label and package finished products according to specifications.Maintain accurate documentation and verify bill of materials (BOMs).Understand daily outputs with a goal of performing at or above average minutes per piece of Team.Follow the organization's Quality Management System and keep work area organized following 5S work standards.Participate in sustainability efforts, including waste reduction and recycling.Work productively and cooperatively in a team environment.Maintain strong communication with your supervisor and team members to achieve team goals.Be proficient in all areas within your responsibility and promote changes for improvement.Perform production order confirmations accurately, recording yield, labor, reworks, and final confirmations.Keep your supervisor informed of any needed changes or reasons for missing standards.Participate in additional reporting methods to assist the production process.Essential SkillsProficient in using hand tools and assembling electronic components.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.1 year of experience in electrical assembly.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Experience in electronic or electrical assembly preferred.Familiarity with IPC standards and soldering techniques.Basic computer skills for documentation and inventory tracking.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean and well-lit, akin to a clean room environment due to the nature of the medical devices handled. The shift runs from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility in start and end times if needed. You will work in a friendly atmosphere where wearing headphones at workstations is allowed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orchard Park, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
