Electrical Assembler
**Job Title: Electrical Assembler** **Job Description** The Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling electrical systems and components in accordance with engineering schematics and specifications. This role involves assembling electrical components and control devices to heavy subassembly units based on electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams. Responsibilities include wiring circuits, outlets, and switches, and calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet product tolerances. You will be required to operate basic tools such as drills, impacts, and grinders, with proficiency expected from day one. The work may involve operating material handling devices such as pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and mobile floor cranes, and you may work alone or with a team of assemblers. **Responsibilities** + Assemble electrical systems and components according to engineering schematics and specifications. + Wire circuits, outlets, and switches based on diagrams. + Calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet product tolerances. + Operate material handling devices such as pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and mobile floor cranes. + Utilize basic tools such as drills, impacts, and grinders proficiently from day one. + Work independently or collaboratively with other assemblers. **Essential Skills** + 3-5 years of electrical assembly experience and working on skids. + Hands-on experience with cable routing, cable tray installation, wire cutting, stripping, and crimping. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. + Operate measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, torque drivers, and drills. + 3-5 years of experience working with conduit and up to 480v. + Strong understanding of AC/DC power principles. + Familiarity with color codes, wiring standards, and terminal block connections. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or equivalent wire harness training is preferred but not required. + Familiarity with high-voltage or low-voltage assemblies. + Experience with PDUs, UPS systems, or power cabinets in a manufacturing environment. + Background in Lean Manufacturing, ISO 9001, or cleanroom production processes. + Basic computer or tablet skills for accessing digital work orders or schematics. + Willingness to cross-train and work collaboratively in mechanical assembly, quality inspection, Shiploose, or warehouse. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic and collaborative team where your expertise and initiative are valued. Frequent lifting and moving of objects weighing between 10 - 50 pounds is required. Safety protocols must be followed at all times. The position operates during the first shift, from 5:30AM to 2:30PM, Monday through Friday. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $29.50/hr.
