**Electrical Apprentice $18 - $23.00hr** **Position Overview** We are seeking a motivated **Electrical Apprentice** with a minimum of **1-2 years of hands-on experience** in the electrical trade. The ideal candidate will be skilled in **boxing out a room** and supporting licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. This role offers opportunities for growth, mentorship, and advancement toward becoming a journeyman electrician. **Key Responsibilities** + Assist electricians with installation of wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures + Box out rooms accurately and efficiently according to project specifications + Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings + Measure, cut, and bend conduit; pull wire; and prepare materials for installation + Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, organized condition + Follow safety protocols and comply with OSHA and company standards + Support troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems under supervision + Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time **Qualifications** + Minimum **2 years of electrical apprentice experience** + **Proven ability to box out a room** independently + Basic knowledge of electrical codes and standards + Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills + Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment + High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred **Compensation** + **Wage Range:** $18 – $23 per hour (based on experience and skill level) **Physical Requirements** + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs + Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and varying weather conditions + Standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
