**Job Title: Mechanic** **Job Description**
Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to company standards. This role requires the ability to make minor repairs and parts replacements, operate a tire machine and wheel balancer, and effectively communicate with the parts department and lead technicians.
**Responsibilities**
+ Make minor repairs and replace parts as needed.
+ Use tire machines and wheel balancers effectively.
+ Take instructions from lead technicians or shop foreman to meet demands and goals.
+ Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
+ Save and tag parts for warranty or technical team requests.
+ Examine vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required.
+ Notify lead technician immediately if additional work is needed or repairs cannot be completed in the promised time.
+ Document all work performed and recommendations on the repair order.
+ Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs in Chandler, AZ.
+ Inspect and test drive newly delivered vehicles for damage and functionality.
+ Report machinery defects or malfunctions to lead technician.
+ Ensure customers' cars are kept clean and report any changes in appearance or condition.
+ Maintain a clean and neat shop area.
+ Be accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
+ Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know.
+ Operate all tools and equipment safely and report any safety issues immediately.
+ Meet productivity and efficiency goals and other KPIs set by leadership.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a repair shop.
+ Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automotive issues.
+ Proficiency in preventive maintenance and auto maintenance and repair.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
+ Familiarity with the Pre-Delivery process.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with team members.

**Work Environment**
Work at the depot in San Francisco, supporting the maintenance of incoming vehicles. Shifts available: Shift A from 7am to 3pm, Shift B from 3pm to 11pm, and Shift C from 11pm to 7am. Initial training includes a two-week program in Arizona led by a certified technical trainer, with class sizes ranging from 6-9 people.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Francisco, CA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
