Job Title: Egress Technician
Job Description

As an Egress Technician, you will perform operational and functional tests of egress systems, subsystems, and components using specialized test equipment. You will ensure that egress explosive Cartridge Activated Devices (CAD) and Pressure Activated Devices (PAD) are safe and disarmed prior to maintenance activities. Additionally, you will conduct integrity inspections of escape systems and determine the serviceability of CAD and PAD devices based on their shelf and service life limits.

ResponsibilitiesConduct inspections of egress systems, subsystems, and components for safety, security, and serviceability.Apply corrosion control procedures to escape systems and related components.Operate and maintain related support equipment.Advise on installation, maintenance, and repair problems by studying schematic and technical publications.Diagnose malfunctions and recommend corrective action.Implement maintenance and safety policies for egress systems.Utilize automated maintenance systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, and maintain equipment records.Use and dispose of hazardous waste and materials according to environmental standards.Perform maintenance on aircraft, including avionics, mechanical systems, and/or ground support equipment if required.May perform Designated System Inspector (DSI) duties.Document maintenance activities as per Quality Assurance (QA) and established regulatory requirements.Perform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks.Maintain strict tool control procedures, reporting missing, lost, found, or unattended tools.Inventory and inspect tools regularly, replacing worn or broken tools.Comply with safety rules and regulations, promptly reporting accidents, injuries, or unsafe practices to the supervisor.Maintain equipment records, documenting work performed and verifying satisfactory completion.Perform additional related duties as required to meet the organization's needs.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in egress systems maintenance.Proficiency in operational testing and maintenance of egress systems and components.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to study schematics and technical publications.Experience with automated maintenance systems for monitoring trends and maintaining records.Knowledge of safety and environmental standards for hazardous materials disposal.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with T-45 Goshawk or similar aircraft.Familiarity with fighter jets and related maintenance procedures.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in an aircraft hangar, primarily on a day shift from Monday to Friday, 0630 - 1530.

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
