Purpose of Position:
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all site-level environmental, health, and safety programs. This role is accountable for championing a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering shared ownership of safety performance among employees and leaders. The EHS Specialist partners cross-functionally with production leadership, HR, and senior management to embed safety excellence into daily operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and long-term strategic objectives.

Skills and Requirements
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or fast-paced operational environment.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience managing and maintaining core EHS programs, including but not limited to:
o Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
o Hazard communication
o Environmental compliance and waste management
o Routine safety inspections and audits
• OSHA 30 certification required
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state and local regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to operate independently while collaborating closely with EHS leadership and site management.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments where EHS programs are actively evolving and scaling – routine programs
• Willingness and ability to support shift overlap as needed, including occasional off-shift coverage to engage employees across operations.
• Ability to lift to 30 pounds and safely perform job duties involving hazardous materials and environmental compliance activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management or reporting systems.

• CSP, CHMM, CIH, or other relevant professional certifications.
• Experience supporting Lean manufacturing, Kaizen events, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prior experience serving as a site point of contact during regulatory inspections or audits.
