**Job Description Summary**
Reporting to the Global EHS Manager, the EHS Specialist role is vital in supporting our corporate EHS management strategies, regulatory requirements, Service Level Agreements; and providing EHS leadership to Client / Cushman & Wakefield teams across the client account portfolio within the international region. The role will support and continually improve the way of doing business that promotes operational excellence and prevents harm to our people, the environment and to our reputation.
The EHS Specialist will drive the implementation of our corporate EHS systems, processes, plans and programs for the account portfolio to ensure that management frameworks are applied, developed, monitored, and improved where required to meet regulatory requirements and industry best practice standards. The role will liaise closely with key contractors, client representatives, C&W IFM account teams and drive compliance with the compliance standards set by the client and the contract.
The EHS Specialist will work collaboratively, ensuring that management frameworks are effectively applied to assure safe systems of work relative to the hazards and risks of the operational environment and client expectations. The role will primarily be located at the client office however travel to sites within the client's GOS property portfolio may be required.
**Job Description**
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ An EHS first focus, ensuring compliance by all contractors and C&W staff with client and Cushman & Wakefield’s Global EHS policies, plans and procedures, adhering to a minimum of Australian Standards globally.
+ Provide EHS advice and assistance to client and C&W account teams, taking into consideration relevant legislation, standards, contract scope and requirements.
+ Implement, monitor, and maintain the Cushman and Wakefield corporate EHS system processes and systems at field level.
+ Partner with contractors on hazards and risks associated with services delivered, ensuring EHS compliance is always demonstrated.
+ Review contractor EHS documentation and provide coaching to account teams as needed.
+ Investigation and reporting of all incidents / injuries and monitoring the implementation of corrective actions.
+ Monitor, track, and report on EHS KPI’s.
+ Proactively monitor and report on the implementation of EHS systems / processes across the client properties within the international region to innovate and continuously improve the safe systems of work.
+ Conduct EHS field leadership activities in accordance with mutually agreed activity types, frequency, and nominal targets into the client's database.
+ Provide advice and guidance to client and C&W account teams on contractor management.
+ Act as EHS subject matter expert for client and C&W account IFM teams.
+ Provide EHS assistance for the procurement of contractors as part of tender development.
+ Support compliance with all EHS record keeping requirements including corporate and regulatory compliance / program documentation.
+ Participate in the onsite Emergency Management Committees and provide EHS advice to committee members as required.
**SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES**
+ Strong knowledge of EHS legislation, regulations, and US standards.
+ Well-developed research and report writing skills.
+ Ability to implement and enforce EHS systems and best practices.
+ High level of integrity and business ethics.
+ Sound OHS management system auditing skills.
+ Sound investigative skills and experience with regulatory negotiations.
+ Ability to be sensitive to local issues and understand and apply local EHS legislation.
+ Effective planning, organizing, communication and time management skills.
+ Exceptional client relations, management, and consultation skills.
**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Understand the Cushman & Wakefield brand and expertise of services delivered to ensure all opportunities to provide a full-service offer to clients is available.
+ Regularly engage with the Cushman & Wakefield Global EHS Manager and Global EHS network to leverage their knowledge and support.

**BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE**
+ Subject expertise in EHS systems / compliance, and relevant US standards.
+ Well versed in OH&S legislation and regulation.
+ Experience working with and driving outcomes in teams
+ Strong client focus and customer experience mindset.
+ Strong experience in stakeholder and contractor management.
+ The ability to travel when required (approximately 10%).
**QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICIAL SKILLS**
+ BA/BS in EHS or related sciences.
+ Qualified in recognized incident investigation techniques.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audiences.
+ Well-developed research and report writing skills.
+ Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
+ Professional, proactive, and collaborative approach to working.
+ Strong computer and systems knowledge.
