Responsibilities Collaborate & align with operation teams across Plant(s) by leading EHS team to deliver step change improvements in EHS KPIs across all functions (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Utilities, & Facilities). Ensure Plant(s) are in compliance with GEHSMS, local EHS legal/regulatory requirements, ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 international standards. Conduct & review/update of risk assessment (for the workplace & task hazard analysis) across all operations & work locations. Develop timely action plans to implement adequate risk controls. Establish, update & ensure implementation of Tier 4 (site-specific) EHS programs & working practices to ensure compliance with PepsiCo's Global Environmental, Health and Safety Management System (policies & procedures). Ensure EHS documentaion (documents & records) are updated, adequately communicated/accessible to all relevant stakeholders, & managed through a document control system. Establish & maintain an EHS Compliance Calendar; for tracking goals & metrics, conducting EHS monitoring & reporting, & tracking legislation & permit requirements. Consult with medical department regarding any injured employee(s) & managing their to return to work. Lead EHS continuous improvement through monitoring KPIs, trend analysis, benchmarking, self-auditing & supporting operations in setting action plans & ensuring their implementation. Monitor Plant(s) WWTP compliance to local legal requirements & conformance to Pepsico requirements, & ensure implementation of minimum process controls. Ensure compliance to Fire Prevention & Protection requirements (Civil Defense & FM Global) through fulfillment of all mandatory recommendations to improve fire risk marks & sustain operating licenses for Plant(s). Define & implement EHS inspections across all EHS levels on regular intervals & report findings on myEHS. Identify, align & spend EHS budget for Plant(s) (Opex & Capex) to mitigate/eliminate EHS risks & drive towards Zero Harm through enhancing EHS capability & culture. Additionally, ensure consistent financial performance versus AOP. Lead Plant(s) EHS culture transformation agenda as per BU strategy. Develop & execute campaigns to engage key stakeholders & penetrate all Plant levels to embed EHS vision, mission & priorities into their mindset & day to day activities. Identify all potential emergency situations. Liase with all functions across Plant(s) to develop emergency response, business continuity & contingency plans. Follow up on implementation of emergency provisions & conducting the required emergency drills. Investigate root causes of incidents including all injuries & illness occurring within Plant(s). Identify adequate corrective/preventive actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure incidents are properly & timely reported according to Pepsico standard. Collaborate & lead EHS communications related to Plant(s) with PPGA & external EHS authorities such as Labour Office, Civil Defense, S&H Office & Environmental Protection Agency. Participate in formal EHS reviews of existing plant layout, equipment modifications, new equipment purchases, & changes in site processes. Ensure changes are adequately managed through Management of Change. Build strong EHS capabilities within Plant(s) team. Assess capability, identify gap & execute training & development programs with adequate resources (modules, tools, budget, etc.). Lead formal EHS reviews with Plant(s) management teams to highlight critical to EHS risks, monitor action plan closure, share incidetns alerts, etc. Ensure adequate & robust governance systems are in place to sustain/improve performance & ensure regulatory compliance. Ensure periodic reviews/update of existing EHS standards, programs & practices Ensure timely, effective & objective Performance Management process for their EHS team. Conducts performance reviews, appraisals & career discussions. Qualifications 7+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) experience in a similar industry is required Experience in F&B manufacturing environment is preferred Professional EHS certification is preferred Functional EHS knowledge in local & international regulatory requirements, EHS technical aspects (safety, industrial hygiene, environmental), risk management, behavior-based safety, training, auditing / program review, regulatory agency enforcement, vendor / consultant management, business knowledge required Bachelor of Science / Engineering is preferred Fluent Arabic & English is required Strong computer skills & knowledge of Microsoft Office (powerpoint, excel, etc.)
