Reporting to the Director, VES & EHS (at Chemtreat headquarters in Richmond, VA), this role will be onsite at the facility in Santiago, Chile.

As part of the Operations team, the Site EHS Leader drives environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices and sustainability efforts across Chile operations and sales. This role ensures the effectiveness of the EHS Management System and fosters a strong safety culture through continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement injury prevention strategies and program initiatives to achieve world-class safety performance and reduce occupational risks. Partner with senior management to prevent injuries and promote a proactive safety culture.  Promote EHS awareness and engagement across the organization.Implement and monitor compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards. Identify and generate strategies for occupational safety and health legal compliance in the region.Manage injury prevention programs to drive improvement and reduction of accidents, thus improving the bottom-line performance for the business. Analyze data to identify trends and drive preventive measures. Oversee audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions using VES (Veralto Enterprise System) tools. EHS System Management:Periodically review the management indicators and presenting system performance reports to senior management and disseminating the results obtained to the workers. Lead the implementation of the region-wide EHS management system, including legal compliance, risk management, incident prevention and contractor management, policy and procedure implementation, audits and training. Ensure legal compliance and manage relationships with regulatory bodies such as health, safety and environmental regulators.. Identify, develop and deliver EHS training needs for site and filed personnel. 

Qualifications:

Seven + years of EHS or in related fields experienceKnowledge of ISO 14001standards, management systems, and auditingExcellent oral and written skills (English and Spanish required). Ability to communicate effectively with large and broad audiences Lean, 5S, and Kaizen experienceExperience with working across varied, diverse, international culturesPreferred qualification: Professional certifications such as CSP Certified Safety Professional, CIH Certified Industrial Hygienist

Reportando al Director de VES & EHS (en la sede de ChemTreat en Richmond, VA), este puesto estará ubicado en la planta de Santiago, Chile.

Como parte del equipo de Operaciones, el Site EHS Leader impulsa las prácticas de medio ambiente, salud y seguridad (EHS) y los esfuerzos de sostenibilidad en las operaciones y ventas en Chile. Este rol garantiza la efectividad del Sistema de Gestión EHS y fomenta una sólida cultura de seguridad mediante la mejora continua.

Responsabilidades

• Desarrollar e implementar estrategias de prevención de lesiones e iniciativas para lograr un desempeño de seguridad de clase mundial y reducir riesgos ocupacionales.
• Colaborar con la alta dirección para prevenir lesiones y promover una cultura de seguridad proactiva. Impulsar la concienciación y el compromiso EHS en toda la organización.
• Implementar y monitorear el cumplimiento de normas de seguridad, salud y medio ambiente. Identificar y generar estrategias para el cumplimiento legal en seguridad y salud ocupacional en la región.
• Gestionar programas de prevención de lesiones para mejorar y reducir accidentes, mejorando así el rendimiento del negocio. Analizar datos para identificar tendencias y aplicar medidas preventivas.
• Supervisar auditorías, evaluaciones de riesgos y acciones correctivas utilizando herramientas VES (Veralto Enterprise System).

Gestión del Sistema EHS:

• Revisar periódicamente los indicadores de gestión y presentar informes de desempeño a la alta dirección, difundiendo los resultados a los trabajadores.

• Liderar la implementación del sistema de gestión EHS a nivel regional, incluyendo cumplimiento legal, gestión de riesgos, prevención de incidentes y gestión de contratistas, implementación de políticas y procedimientos, auditorías y capacitación.
• Garantizar el cumplimiento legal y gestionar relaciones con organismos reguladores de salud, seguridad y medio ambiente.
• Identificar, desarrollar y ofrecer capacitaciones EHS para personal de planta y campo.

Calificaciones

• Más de siete años de experiencia en EHS o áreas relacionadas.
• Conocimiento de normas ISO 14001, sistemas de gestión y auditoría.
• Excelentes habilidades de comunicación oral y escrita (inglés y español requeridos). Capacidad para comunicarse eficazmente con audiencias amplias y diversas.
• Experiencia en Lean, 5S y Kaizen.
• Experiencia trabajando en entornos internacionales y diversos.
• Deseable: Certificaciones profesionales como CSP (Certified Safety Professional) o CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist).
