As an **EHS Engineer** , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
+ Actively supporting EHS Cultural Excellence through personal responsibility for safety, health, and environment, promoting a culture to address incidents, near-misses and potential hazards.
+ Taking ownership of plant EHS programs including but not limited to: Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, Environmental Compliance, Machine Guarding, Incident Investigation, Confined Spaces, Flammable Liquid and Static Safety, Plant Safety Training Program, and First Aid Responders.
+ Interpreting, implementing, coordinating, and maintaining the regulatory compliancy rhythm to assure completion of reporting and recording for applicable Federal, State, and Local Environmental Permits, regulations, and programs.
+ Supporting workplace incident investigations and root cause analyses to determine appropriate corrective actions and conducting assessments of high hazard processes in order to reduce risk.
+ Completing internal and external EHS compliance reports and analyze EHS data and report trends.
+ Implementing on-going industrial hygiene chemical/noise exposure and assessment and monitoring plans while utilizing the 3M work check tool and systems.
+ Providing EHS oversight, design review, and testing of efficacy of exposure control measures including ventilations, administrative controls and personal protective equipment.
+ Leading element audits or assessments (such as ergonomics, ventilation, industrial hygiene, TSCA, etc.)
+ Developing and presenting training packages.
+ Providing technical assistance and guidance to plant by leading or assisting in safety committee teams and meetings, including EHS regulatory interpretations.
+ Providing EHS support in the design and installation of new or modified equipment, industrial automation, and management of change processes.
**Your Skills and Expertise**
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
+ Two (2) years of EHS experience working in a manufacturing/production environment in an environmental, health and/or safety capacity (private, public, government or military environment) including internship experience.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
+ Master’s degree or higher in a science, engineering, or EHS discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
+ Experience working in facilities covered by OSHA Process Safety Management Standard (PSM) and engagement with PSM elements and requirements.
+ Experience that included: qualitative exposure assessment and program management experience for chemical exposure and ergonomics.
+ Professional Certification(s) such as: Certified Safety Professional CSP®, or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)

**Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international**

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $98,413 - $120,282, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
