Position Description
Kinder Morgan (KM) is seeking a detail-oriented, innovative Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to manage, enhance, and optimize our learning and compliance training platforms. This role will oversee the design, development, and delivery of training content, ensure accurate tracking of learner progress, and produce clear, actionable reports that support both regulatory compliance and organizational learning goals.
The ideal candidate will have experience with e-learning authoring tools (such as Articulate Storyline and Storyboarding applications), strong technical skills for LMS administration, and an analytical mindset to identify trends, evaluate training effectiveness, and recommend improvements. This position will also coordinate cross-functional training projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Work Schedule Kinder Morgan offers a hybrid work schedule: Monday through Wednesday in the office with the option to work remote on Thursday and Friday.
Work Location This position will be based in either the Houston or Denver corporate office locations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ Administer and maintain the LMS (Litmos Application), ensuring system functionality, data accuracy, and user accessibility.
+ Develop and upload engaging e-learning content, using tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Storyboarding applications.
+ Work with the solution vendor, support enhancement requests and best practices
+ Coordinate and work with KM IT department to support system reporting from the application
+ Lead Meetings
+ Manage learning paths, curricula, certifications, and training assignments across multiple business units.
+ Track, analyze, and report on training completion rates, learner performance, and compliance metrics.
+ Identify trends in training data and recommend targeted interventions to improve outcomes.
+ Partner with subject matter experts to design and update course content that meets regulatory and company standards.
+ Serve as one of two LMS administrators providing support across the enterprise and working with Business Unit LMS administrators to facilitate consistent training implementation across business units.
+ Coordinate LMS-related projects, ensuring deliverables are on time and within scope.
+ Provide technical support and training for LMS users.
+ Maintain awareness of LMS best practices, industry trends, and new technologies.

Position Requirements
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Human Resource Development, Information Systems, or related field. Equivalent related experience will be considered in leiu of a degree.
+ 3+ years of experience administering a corporate LMS Systems.
+ Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Storyboarding software.
+ Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
+ Advanced Excel or other data analysis/reporting tool skills.
+ Organizational and time management skills
+ Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills
+ Problem solving abilities
+ Experience with compliance reporting
+ Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.
+ Must be able to work within a team, take directions from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, exhibit excellent follow-through, focus attention to details, and follow work rules.
+ Good interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate system requirements verbally and in writing.
+ Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
+ Travel is required and anticipated up to 10% time away from the office and across a broad geographic region; motor vehicle and air travel anticipated.
Working Conditions:
+ Majority of the work will be conducted from an office environment. Extended periods of sitting may be required for administrative activities.
+ The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
+ The nature of the work requires a significant amount of visual acuity for reading in both electronic and hard copy formats in order to review documents, proofread work, create documents, and perform tasks in KM’s EHS compliance systems.
+ Must be willing to work overtime, some nights and weekends, and holidays as needed and required.
Preferred (above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in the position)
+ Knowledge of compliance training requirements in a corporate or regulated environment preferred.
+ Experience with implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of environmental management system software specific to tracking EHS compliance, including Maximo HSE, Sphera Cloud HSM, Litmos, and Kinder Morgan developed applications.
+ Experience with.NET, JavaScript, SQL and WML are considered a plus.
+ Experience with PowerBI or Qlik analytic dashboard development a plus.
+ Experience with environmental, health, and safety terminology and practical field knowledge.
+ General understanding of the energy industry and familiar with industry terminology.
+ Working knowledge of databases.
+ Advanced proficiency level in MS Office applications including: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Teams.
+ Prior experience in writing and reviewing, and training users on, written procedures.
+ Professional certifications in an EHS discipline, or similar background, are considered a plus.
+ Professional certifications in a Computer Science discipline, Data Analytics, or similar background, are advantageous.
The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed. Pay range is $85,100 - $125,600 per year. This position includes a discretionary annual incentive plan. Job level and pay commensurate with experience and skill sets.
