**Overview** ABM Industries is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our Operations team. Responsible for leading, developing, and managing safety, health, and environmental objectives to achieve advanced safety management effectiveness for a designated client location. Oversee and maintain Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs and solutions to support organizational and operational goals. **Pay** : $78,400-$90,000 salary range. The pay listed is the salary range for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit ABM 2025 Employee Benefits | Staff & Management **Job Description:** + Lead efforts to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. + Collaborate with the client EH&S team to meet expectations. + Develop, implement, and evaluate advanced safety initiatives that communicate and reinforce company policies, focusing on proactive incident prevention and comprehensive risk management. + Conduct detailed on-site risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards to team members, clients, the public, and the environment. + Design, implement, and continuously improve controls to mitigate identified risks effectively. + Oversee the creation, review, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure alignment with evolving safety and regulatory requirements. + Manage and lead regular safety audits, comprehensive risk assessments, inspections, training programs, and meetings to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of safety efforts and accident prevention activities. + Conduct and oversee in-depth accident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive measures. + Train team members in material handling equipment and keep up with training records. + Ensure all team members follow the respirators fit and test program. + Ensure strict compliance with OSHA recordkeeping requirements, including OSHA 300 logs, training records, and other federal OSHA compliance programs. + Drive the implementation of advanced safety techniques, innovative methods, and regulatory compliance training. + Maintain knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations at all levels of government. Conduct evaluations, document findings, and provide detailed compliance reporting to ensure operational adherence and excellence. + Support the operations in the DMV area, as assigned. **Qualifications and Site Requirements:** **Site Requirements:** + Full-time, on-site and semi-regional role requiring flexibility to manage dynamic operational needs and schedules. + Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish language (Preferred). + This role will require approximately 25-30% of time spent traveling to various client sites within the region. Travel will primarily involve driving, with occasional flights. **Education:** + BS/BA in Safety Management, Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health Technology, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred. + Advanced certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar preferred. **Experience:** + Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an EH&S management role. + Demonstrated success in leading injury reduction and risk mitigation initiatives at a managerial level. + Experience with project management, problem-solving techniques, and strategic planning. + Knowledge of regulatory compliance and proficiency in data-driven decision-making. **Skills:** + Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
