EH&S Coordinator
**Position Summary:** The Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator position will be responsible for facilitating the continuous safety improvement efforts at the Morbark manufacturing facility. This will include enforcing all company environmental, health and safety guidelines and inspecting workplaces and processes to ensure compliance. **Essential Functions of the Job:** 1. Coordinate and instruct all safety training for employees. 1. Create effective methods to measure safety standards in the workplace. 2. Conduct job safety analysis and risk assessments on assigned tasks and jobs. 3. Conduct safety inspections on a routine basis to detect existing or potential hazards and recommend corrective or preventative measures where indicated. 4. Conduct investigations for all employee related incidents/ accidents. 5. Address any workplace-related health issues, accidents or injuries. 6. Suggest revisions to safety programs, policies and procedures to be followed by company personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations. 7. Suggest revisions to environmental programs, policies and procedures to be followed by company personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal EPA rules and regulations. 8. Order all PPE and required safety supplies for the workplace. 9. Develop and maintain a health and safety-oriented work philosophy among employees. 10. Report to and assist EHS Manager with assigned daily tasks. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):** + Proficient use of all Microsoft programs (word, excel, power point) required. + Possess strong leadership skills. + Professional manner and appearance. + Works well with a team. + Possess interpersonal relationship skills. + Work on projects independently. + Possess strong, clear and effective verbal and written communication skills. + Exhibits strong organizational skills and pays close attention to detail. + Possess solid problem-solving and analytical abilities. + Demonstrates ability to remain calm and cool-headed in the event of an emergency. + Must be multitask oriented, organized, able to set priorities, and meet deadline. + Must have valid driver’s license and have clean driving record. **Education and Experience:** + High School Diploma or GED required. + Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Safety related field preferred. + 3-5 years previous work experience in the health and safety field is preferred. + OSHA Certification is required. + First Aid/ CPR Certification is required instructor certification preferred.
