Strategy and Planning

Align EHS&S COE Personal Safety competency objectives with Business Units and Functions, as well as team strategies, priorities, and resources.Ensure alignment of EHS programs with government, corporate, and community expectations.Collaborate with the EHS&S COE Group Leader to ensure project plans and status are well communicated and supported.Assist the EHS&S COE Personal Safety Competency Team in aligning priorities, setting objectives, tracking progress, evaluating performance, and providing feedback to the organization.

Work Processes / Improvement

Partner collaboratively with businesses, functions, and sites to deliver effective solutions that continuously improve EHS work processes.Analyze EHS key metrics, leading indicators, performance data, and task-specific metrics to identify trends and drive improvement projects.Measure project performance against goals and end-user expectations, and continuously improve based on feedback.Develop and maintain Corporate Personal Safety Competency standards, guidance, implementation tools, and training materials, with a focus on Motor Vehicle Safety.Deliver communications effectively through internal EHS webinars and engagement with EHS partners.Ensure work products meet current Corporate EHS Standards and Governmental Regulatory requirements, including country-specific regulations.Ensure alignment and proper documentation of work products according to the Corteva Agriscience Management System (CAMS) and other documentation tools.Support and participate in EHS auditing and compliance programs as needed.Develop and maintain protocols for audits and self-assessments to measure EHS system effectiveness.Manage project expenses in accordance with COE spending prioritization plans.Lead, facilitate, and/or participate in incident root cause investigations.Determine the need for, develop, and deliver training as assigned.Periodically seek business feedback on implementation effectiveness and compliance efficiency.Provide expert consultation, advice, and information to leaders and employees to achieve EHS success.Oversee motor vehicle telematics systems globally.Partner with all businesses and functions across regions for motor vehicle telematics implementation and monitoring.

Networking

Facilitate input from market-leading EHS processes, tools, and concepts to advance COE work products.Participate in global EHS and cross-functional networks to enhance knowledge transfer and performance improvement, including global and regional motor vehicle networks.Periodically seek business feedback on implementation effectiveness and compliance efficiency.Provide market-leading support for EHS advocacy initiatives, including participation and benchmarking with relevant industry and professional associations.Stay abreast of changing regulatory requirements through alignment with networks, publications, and subject matter expertise.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in an applicable scientific or technical discipline is required.

What Skills You Need:

Recognized expert in the Personal Safety field with eight or more years of relevant industry EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset).Minimum of two years managing motor vehicle telematics systems and data gathering processes.Minimum of ten years managing a motor vehicle (fleet) safety program for a global or regional enterprise, including policies, standards, and investigations.Flexibility to travel 10–30% of the time.
