JOB PURPOSE

In this role you will be responsible for planning and supervising shipments, scheduling routes, tracking orders, and ensuring proper storage and distribution of products. As distribution expert, you will monitor transportation costs, maintain records, and ensure compliance with shipping regulations.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Planning and supervising the shipments from production to the end-userScheduling daily and weekly routesTracking orders using functional systems (e.g. barcodes and tracking software)Coordinate with warehouse workers to ensure proper storage and distribution of productsMonitor and report on transportation costsEnsure shipping documents are properly filedReport maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipmentResearch and suggest cost-effective shipping methodsConduct regular safety audits on equipmentOrganize training sessions for employees (e.g. proper use of machines and handling of hazardous material)Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed ordersEnsure compliance with company policies and shipping legislationStay up-to-date with safety regulationsWHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant majorYears of experience: 4 to 6 yearsProven work experience as a Transportation Manager, shipping manager or similar roleSolid knowledge of supply chain managementExperience preparing and tracking ordersFamiliarity with logistics software, like Freight view and 3PLinkSkills
