Faculty are responsible for developing learning content, executing that content and evaluating student performance in the didactic curriculum. In addition to teaching responsibilities, faculty are expected to engage in research and other scholarly activities, clinical practice, and professional activities. ****Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.** **Qualifications** The qualified candidate will be a certified physician assistant with at least three years clinical experience having earned a Master’s degree, with additional evidence of content expertise related to PA education. A PhD or academic doctoral degree equivalent (EdD, DSc), is preferred (or if in progress, a reasonable plan of completion). A professional doctorate (DMSc, DHSc) is also favorable. Prior teaching/precepting experience in a PA education program is preferred. A record of scholarly activity (peer-reviewed publications, peer-reviewed presentations, curriculum development, educational assessment/evaluation, research engagement) is preferred. Membership in professional organization(s) with evidence of involvement at the local, state and/or national levels is desirable. Current certification by the NCCPA is required.
