Educational Diagnostician - In-Person
Educational Diagnostician – Full Time | Onsite | Location: Ft. Myers, FL Schedule: 37.5 hours per week Start Date: 2/17/2026 Contract Length: 17 weeks Modality: Full-Time, In-Person preferred About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Educational Diagnostician to join a multidisciplinary team supporting students with learning needs. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and help determine appropriate instructional placement for students with learning disabilities. You’ll work closely with School Psychologists and other educational professionals to support student success. This position is ideal for candidates with strong assessment skills, recent testing experience, and confidence writing independent evaluation reports. Key Responsibilities + Conduct achievement-based assessments and learning evaluations + Perform IQ testing (pending state confirmation) + Diagnose learning problems and identify student support needs + Write clear, comprehensive, and independent diagnostic reports + Collaborate with School Psychologists and multidisciplinary teams + Participate in decision-making regarding student placement and services + Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations Minimum Requirements + Bachelor’s degree required + Master’s degree preferred + 2+ years of experience in schools + (For School Psych program graduates, this aligns with Year 2/3/4 practicum experience) + Experience with: + Academic/achievement-based testing + Report writing (independent experience preferred) + Diagnostic evaluations (recent experience required) + Teaching experience preferred + Must meet all state, federal, and contract certification requirements + CPR certification (if applicable) + TB test, PPD, or chest X-ray (if required) + Current health certificate (as required) + Must be at least 18 years of age Position Details + Hours/Week: 37.5 + Contract Length: 17 weeks + Start Date: 2/17/2026 + Works alongside School Psychologists + Client prefers full-time, onsite Diagnosticians + Travel not required Why This Role? + Opportunity to work within a strong multidisciplinary support team + Meaningful impact on student learning outcomes + Full-time schedule with consistent school-day hours + Excellent fit for candidates with assessment and diagnostic expertise How to Apply Submit your resume to Amanda at amalmand@amergis.com or text 813-261-4384 to schedule a call!
