Educational Diagnostician
Modality: Educational Diagnostician Grade Level & Classroom Type (General, Inclusion, Self Contained, etc.) Elementary School and Middle School (Schools are right next to eachother) Caseload Details: TBD Classroom Support: Support from Evaluation Team Day to Day Duties: Assessment & Evaluation + Receive student referrals and select appropriate assessment tools. + Conduct formal and informal testing, score and analyze results to determine eligibility for special education services under federal, state, and district guidelines. + Prepare and maintain Full Individual Evaluation (FIE) reports. + Review outside evaluations from other districts or agencies. + Interpret evaluations for transfer students and ensure compliance with Texas Education Agency and federal regulations. Case Management + Serve as case manager for students assigned for evaluations. + Maintain documentation for Medicaid billing and input evaluations, session notes, and progress reports into the district system. + Keep a database of referrals and evaluations for assigned schools. Collaboration & ARD Participation + Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee meetings. + Present and interpret assessment data, recommend appropriate placement, and assist in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs). + Work as part of a multi-disciplinary appraisal team, including autism evaluations and assessments of cognitive, educational, adaptive, and behavioral factors. Additional Responsibilities + Conduct classroom observations and interviews. + Collect and organize data from teachers, parents, and other sources. + Ensure compliance with timelines and district guidelines for evaluations and ARDs.
