As an Education Security Officer, you play a critical role in protecting students, staff, and visitors—creating a secure and welcoming environment at some of the most prestigious schools. Hourly wage of $16.60 per hour We will invest in you, covering the costs of continuing education through GardaWorld Academy Permanent position: Monday to Thursday (1530-2230) Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld Uniform provided at no cost Responsibilities for Educational Campus Security Guard Ensure the protection and safety of people, assets, and property at all times through proactive security measures. Deter criminal activity by maintaining a highly visible security presence and strictly following established security procedures. Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying Photo ID for all visitors and monitoring all entrants and exits. Conduct regular patrols and preventive surveillance rounds, monitoring both interior and exterior areas via patrols and CCTV systems. Prepare accurate Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports and distribute them via email in a timely manner. Provide visitor assistance by giving directions and coordinating with internal departments for visitor access, packages, and deliveries. Perform routine environmental and safety checks, identifying issues such as water leaks, lighting failures, unusual noises, or HVAC concerns, and promptly notifying maintenance. Monitor and secure all entryways and exit points, ensuring doors are properly closed, secured, and free from tampering. Respond effectively to emergencies including fire alarms, medical incidents, security breaches, and other critical situations. Act as the primary point of contact with authorities and emergency services, ensuring clear communication and coordinated response when required.

 

Qualifications for Educational Campus Security Guard Be authorized to work in Canada Hold a valid  Manitoba security license   Strong report writing skills Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus Strong proficiency with technology
