Responsibilities
The Education Program Manager works collaboratively in a team structure to advance the mission of the department in alignment with the strategic plans for Education and Mayo Clinic. The Education Program Manager plans, directs, coordinates and delivers projects on behalf of Department as assigned. Must be able to manage and organize large workloads for timely completion of projects. Collaborates with a diverse group of departments within Clinical, Research, Education, and Administrative areas. Manages project teams to ensure goals are well-defined, aligned with business objectives and accomplished. Identifies tasks required to meet goals and procures and manages required resources from functional and administrative teams. The Education Program Manager - should be familiar with and monitor all major project activities, ensure information currency, quality and integrity and provide consistency in content. The Education Program Manager will support the establishment and maturation of the project management infrastructure within the Department, developing templates, promoting best practices, developing and/or procuring tools, educating and mentoring team members and other project managers. The Education Program Manager acts as an interface and communications link between Department and its physician and administrative customers as well as partners inside and outside Mayo Clinic. The Education Program Manager facilitates problem solving through the development of alternate approaches and solutions; identifies areas to improve quality of services; and investigates new approaches to delivery of information required to support Department’s services.
*This position is a combination of remote and onsite support work. Individual must live within driving distance to the Mayo Clinic Rochester campus.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree and / or Project Management Professional certification strongly preferred. Strong leadership, mentoring, personnel development, organizational, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required.
Three years of education experience in various internal/external learning environments – experience should include the following:
Two (2) years leadership experience within healthcare and/or education setting, developing curriculum, on-line learning, appropriate methods of delivery, and/or theory and practice related to adult learning principles.
Demonstrated knowledge of educational accreditation standards (e.g. ACCME, ACPE, ANCC) and any others related to programs organized by the Department, including organizational skills necessary for compiling documentation for accrediting agencies and their specific requirements. Must be able to travel intermittently as needed. Must have extensive organization and planning skills. Computer software skills are essential. Must be able to assume responsibility for and prioritize a wide variety of tasks simultaneously and efficiently. Requires good decision-making and judgment capabilities. Must be flexible and comfortable dealing with ambiguity. Requires presentation skills to present information and concepts to large and small groups and committees. Must have strong leadership, team building, mentoring, personnel development, systems thinking, and problem solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines, i.e., physician, administrative, supervisory and allied health staff. Must have excellent communication, organizational and human relation skills. Must have broad based knowledge of office support and computer systems along with spreadsheets, databases, statistics, software knowledge and installation, and accounting practices for budgetary responsibilities. Must possess exceptional drive and commitment. Must be able to assume responsibility for and prioritize a wide variety of tasks simultaneously and efficiently. Requires presentation skills to present information and concepts to large and small groups and committees.
