The Louisiana Department of Education is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to serve as theDirector of Community-Level Strategy and Systems Integration. This key role, located within the Office of Early Childhood (Strategy Division), is at the forefront of our mission to ensure all children have access to high-quality early childhood education. This position is perfect for a leader with a deep understanding of early childhood education and a passion for systems-level change.
The key responsibilities are to build high-quality instructional leadership, help centers maximize their funding, and promote best practices to enhance the quality of education and care for young children. This involves overseeing Ready Start Networks and Early Childhood Center Improvement Strategies, with a specific emphasis on developing new models and initiatives to drive better outcomes for children across the state. The position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex programs and partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications
Nine years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR

An advanced degree plus five years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Lead, mentor, and manage a team of early childhood professionals to execute key initiatives and achieve ambitious goals for program quality.
+ Oversee the design, development, and implementation of strategic models, including the Ready Start Networks, to drive systemic improvements in early learning.
+ Champion the integration of services and resources to maximize funding and increase efficiencies, ensuring high-quality experiences for all children.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected.
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule: Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
**Note regarding the advertised pay range: The Education Consultant series have a special entrance rate (SER) of $33.65 hourly, $2,692.31 biweekly that is above the minimum hire rate for these positions. The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make over their career andnot the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire .
