EDM Operator | $60K–$80K Annual Salary | Monday–Friday 7AM-3:30PM What Matters MostCompetitive salary: $60,000–$80,000 annually (commensurate with experience and qualifications)Full-time opportunity with room for career growth and advancementSchedule: Monday–Friday 7AM-3:30PMLocation: Garland, TXDirect Hire opportunity Job DescriptionThe EDM Operator is responsible for operating and programming Electrical Discharge Machines (EDM), including wire and/or sinker EDM systems, to produce precision metal components that meet tight tolerances. This role includes machine setup, tooling preparation, reading blueprints, performing in-process inspections, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure quality and productivity standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate wire and/or sinker EDM machinesRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM filesProgram EDM machines using G-code or conversational controls (Mitsubishi, Agie, etc.)Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to verify tight tolerancesMaintain accurate documentation, including logs and inspection recordsPerform basic preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issuesWork collaboratively with engineers and quality assurance to resolve technical challengesFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area Qualifications and Requirements2+ years of EDM operation experience (wire and/or sinker)Proficiency in blueprint reading and machining specificationsExperience with EDM programming software preferred (e.g., AutoCAD, BOBCAD, Mastercam)Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, and other measurement toolsAbility to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlinesKnowledge of various metals and materials (aluminum, titanium, steel alloys)High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in machining is a plus Benefits and Perks$60,000–$80,000/year base salaryMedical, dental, vision, and 401KPaid holidays On-the-job training and long-term growth potential Your New OrganizationFounded in 1967, the company is a leader in precision metal stamping, custom tooling, and complex manufacturing solutions.
