**Job Title: EDM Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled EDM Machinist to join our team. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints or job orders to obtain product specifications, positioning and securing workpieces, and working with stainless and high-temperature alloys. You will set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut in accordance with product specifications and tooling instructions. **Responsibilities** + Interpret blueprints or job orders to obtain product specifications including dimensions and tolerances. + Position and secure workpieces to holding devices, machine tables, chucks, centers, or fixtures. + Work with stainless and high-temperature alloys. + Set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut as per product specifications and tooling instructions. + Observe operations and verify conformance of machined workpieces to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, bore gauges, pins, and micrometers. + Adhere to safety rules, manufacturing quality procedures, and company policies. + Maintain a clean and organized work area. **Essential Skills** + High School Diploma + 1 year of EDM operating experience + Blueprint reading + Familiarity with Mastercam **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with Word or Excel + TS knowledge + Prior knowledge of splays, burns, shorts, last point to fill, gates + Experience with Van presses **Why Work Here?** Join a company that values its employees with direct hire opportunities and competitive benefits. It is a warehouse and manufacturing setting where eye and ear protection are provided if needed. Employees must wear closed-toe shoes at all times. The second shift has a smaller team size, with about 12 people. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of AUBURN HILLS, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $42000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
