Our culture of evolution and empathy centers on long-term career growth and development opportunities in an environment that embraces your unique skills and experience. **Your role and responsibilities** Editorial leads in the IBM Institute for Business Value are experts in taking sets of data and crafting compelling narratives and points of view aligned with IBM’s business priorities. IBV editorial leads, with niche journalistic and client-facing expertise, engage audiences, establishing awareness and consideration of IBM as a trusted business partner. They are also experts in the use of generative AI to create and improve content. **Required technical and professional expertise** The ideal candidate should have solid, hands-on experience applying the following skills: A. Superior editorial skills - capability in long- and short-form writing that incorporates data analysis, compelling storyteller, expert grammarian. Details: 1) Independent in writing clear, concise and creative prose for business executives in "white paper" long-form format in English. Use array of resources provided by key stakeholders, such as a presentation file, data deck, or notes from interviewing other IBM SMEs. Create an understandable, compelling story with recommendations for next steps. 2) Clear, conversational business writing (not technical writing) tone: Help readers understand what technology can do for them, but without "consultant-speak" terms or bogging down into the technology aspects. Use professional, journalistic style rather than dry, academic reporting or marketing/sales tone. 3) Attention-grabbing, fresh use of words and expert understanding of US English grammar, spelling and punctuation. Know or quickly learn IBM Style and IBM Legal guidelines, as well as Chicago Manual of Style. 4) Interest in and capability to craft content in multiple formats that engage executive audiences: long-form, short-form, infographic, video/audio scripts, data sheet, social post, web content, email promotion, et. al. B. Analytical skills - simplify complex analyses, narrate charts and graphs, interpret data and incorporate into storylines. C. Project management and professional skills - build and follow project schedules and plans, interview SMEs (including senior executives in and outside of IBM), manage stakeholders D. Critical interpersonal skills - negotiation, influence, collaboration, flexibility, multitasking, proactive, creativity, curiosity, commitment.
