Our innovative team is responsible for resiliency and quality customer experiences through our hardware and software running in global data centers. The Edge Services Program Management Office team is looking for a people manager to lead project managers and initiatives for server hardware installation, decommissions and software automation initiatives. Project teams may be global and include direct interaction with a broad variety of technical and functional personnel throughout Apple. Responsibilities include software development projects and product management for multiple custom applications and tools. **Description** We are seeking an experienced leader to run our team of Project Managers responsible for server hardware orders, data center installations and production configuration build tracking. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise and strategic oversight to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role will be focused on multi year hardware capacity growth, tech refreshes and decommission plans. You will partner with other Edge Managers on project prioritization, timing and commitments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Network, Hardware Engineering, Data Center Capacity Planning, Corporate Procurement and Finance to align on infrastructure initiative schedules and goals. **Responsibilities** + Manage, mentor and develop a team of project managers fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and striving for excellence. + Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, provide feedback and enhance team capabilities. + Allocate resources effectively to balance workloads and meet top program demands. + Work closely with engineering and operations teams to craft requirements establish goals and milestones and implement designs. Oversee the end-to-end execution of server installation projects. + Ensure projects adhere to scope, timeline, budget and quality requirements, mitigating risks an addressing issues and changes promptly. + Oversee Sprint cycles and backlog refinement focused on new automation tooling and feature enhancements. + Communicate status, risks, and long term strategies to senior leadership. + Develop and iterate on project management methodologies, tools and best practices tailored to the Edge teams and various development and operations initiatives. + Occasional travel to Apple offices and data centers. **Minimum Qualifications** + Project Management Experience: Over five years of progressive responsibilities in project management roles. + Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects effectively. + Collaboration Abilities: Strong capability to partner and collaborate across various teams to implement strategic plans successfully. + Organizational Skills: Demonstrated project management expertise with strong organizational and planning skills. + Methodology Expertise: Proficiency in applying Scrum, Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies, along with experience using project management tools. **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelors Degree + Solid understanding of server hardware, data center operations and IT Infrastructure lifecycle management + Experience with vendor management and procurement processes. + MBA, PMI/PMP or CAPM certification + Scrum Master Agile Project Management certification **Pay & Benefits** At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $158,700 and $281,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
