This full-time, school-year role is responsible for preparing and cooking meals in accordance with USDA guidelines and company standards, ensuring high-quality and nutritious food is served to students and staff in a clean, safe environment. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, daily menus, and portion guidelines + Ensure all meals meet federal, state, and district nutrition and safety standards + Assist with menu planning, inventory control, and receiving deliveries + Monitor and record food temperatures, production logs, and sanitation procedures + Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, tools, and work areas + Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient meal service + Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols (HACCP) + Support special dietary and allergy accommodations as directed + Supervise or assist in the training of kitchen support staff as needed + Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager Requirements Qualifications: Prior cooking experience in a school, institutional, or commercial kitchen preferred Ability to follow recipes, production sheets, and safety standards Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods ServSafe certification is a plus Must be able to work in a fast paced environment Background check required Salary Description 19.00
