Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an ED Tech, you will provide crucial support and direct patient care in the fast-paced Emergency Department, ensuring efficient operations and compassionate assistance during critical moments.

Every day you will expertly assist with patient admissions and discharges, perform vital signs and basic medical procedures, maintain a clean and organized environment, and meticulously document observations to support the nursing staff and physician team.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding adaptability, strong communication skills, and a calm, proactive demeanor, contributing significantly to timely patient care and a smooth-running ED.

Completes documentation on unit and patient records in a timely, accurate, and concise mannerPerforms and documents patient data collection which includes vital signs and I & ODemonstrates effective response to respiratory/cardiac arrest following departmental guidelinesParticipates in staff development activities for unit and Nursing Division personnelPerforms EMT and other clinical duties as outlined in departmental and hospital Policy and Procedure manualPerforms 12 lead EKG per cardiology policy and practice instruction
Job Requirements

Required

High School Graduate/GEDMinimum one (1) year experience with EMS provider or if no qualified candidates apply, and operational conditions exist, the Employer may consider candidates without the required one (1) year experience as an EMTEmergency Medical Technician: CABasic Life Support through an American Heart Association provider
