As an Ecosystem Design Intern in Bellevue WA, San Jose CA, or San Francisco CA from September 15th to December 15th, with the potential for additional quarters through summer 2026, you can too.

You’ll work alongside professional engineers and scientists, gaining exposure to project coordination, relevant computer-assisted engineering software, data collection, and much more.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work in a team environment with other project engineers and scientists on environmental and water resources- related projects.
* Perform routine aspects of engineering and science requiring knowledge and application of basic principles under close supervision of a professional engineer.
* Provide support and insight in the evaluation of current data collection and analysis process to support client deliverables. Then enhancing these analyses with computer science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
* Performs other duties assigned by the Ecosystem Restoration Practice Leader and other team members.

* In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or an equivalent) from an accredited program
* Exposure to machine learning processes and application
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
* Ability to visit a local Jacobs office (Bellevue WA, San Jose CA, or San Francisco CA) as a hybrid employee
Ideally, you’ll also have:
* 3.0 GPA
* Coursework and/or experience in ecology, water resources, GIS, and CAD software.
* A previous internship related to your field of study
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Self-driven time management and organizational skills
* Consistent delivery of tasks and coordination on progress
