The eCommerce Brands team are on the lookout for an eCommerce Trading Manager to join and be at the forefront of our UK growth, focusing on Sports brands on NEXT UK. Based at Head Office in Leicestershire, offering a competitive salary alongside great benefits.

The UK Trading team fuels UK growth by optimising online product sales on Next.co.uk across Womenswear, Menswear, Childrenswear and Home. They drive exciting product launches and strategic promotions to maximise sales and brand visibility. 

The role

As the Trading Manager on the Brands team, you will play a key role within our eCommerce team, supporting the Brands Business Manager as the main point of contact for a dedicated product area (such as Sports). You will take ownership of your division’s trading performance across NEXT’s UK website and third-party platforms, driving strategy, marketing and cross-functional collaboration to deliver results. You will use your commercial and product expertise to identify opportunities, influence direction, and grow sales - treating the brand like a business within a business.

What else is involved?

Work alongside the Business Manager to set and drive the strategy for Sports on NEXT UK, managing any team members to achieve growth. Key person to account for trading Sports brands on the NEXT UK website, taking ownership of this and being an expert in product and key trends for the category and translating this into the customer journey to drive sales. Use data-driven decisions to trade your products across marketing, search & navigation, and product pages. Looking at key performance metrics, user behaviour, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and improvements in the sales funnel. Provide and present weekly sales performance and in-week insights to maximise sales potential to all relevant stakeholders.  Representing Sports within the ecommerce team, putting the category forward for any innovation for any ways to grow and develop the category. Suggesting and implementing testing ideas and other data-driven approaches to refine and optimise the overall customer journey. Deliver regular performance updates back to the business, through monthly roadmap meetings. Work closely with key stakeholders throughout the business (mainly Product, Marketing, Data & Content) to ensure we are delivering the appropriate story-telling for Sports brands on NEXT UK. To plan and execute the E2E marketing plan for all touchpoints of Sports aligning with customer demand.
