Summary of Position (Job Purpose) - Major purpose and functions of the position.The SEO Manager’s responsibilities include managing all SEO activities such as keyword strategy, link building, and content strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks and to drive incremental traffic to our app and website. Our ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of performance marketing, data and analytics, conversion, and online customer acquisition with a strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points for future optimizations.
Ultimately, the role of the SEO Manager is to improve our app and web traffic, increase brand awareness, and maximize traffic and sales extending from our digital marketing efforts. Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Primary responsibilities listed in order of importanceDevelop and implement effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies for Onsite and Off-site platformsManage offsite and onsite optimization projects and report on performanceConduct keyword research to guide ecommerce merchant/content teamsReview technical SEO issues and recommend fixesOptimize website content and landing pagesDirect off-page optimization projects (e.g. link-building)Collect data and report on traffic, rankings and other SEO aspectsWork with ecommerce merchants, social media and Paid Search teams to optimize campaignsMonitor performance metrics to understand SEO strategy performance with recommendations for continuous improvement.Manage relationship with Third Party Optimization Provider including forecasting budgets and creating and coordinating search optimization plans for execution.Regularly perform thorough keywords discovery, expansion and optimizationStay up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing latest trends and best practices. Be our expert with ongoing proactive recommendations to maintain industry parity and superiority. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications - Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.Proven experience as SEO Manager, SEM Manager or similar roleKnowledge of standard and current SEO practices and industry performance benchmarksKnowledge of HTML/CSSFamiliarity with Product Information Tool (PIM)Experience with SEO reporting and proactive improvement recommendationsExperience and familiarity with relevant tools (e.g. Conductor, Brightedge, MOZ) and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Trends)Excellent communication and collaboration skillsIntermediate Excel SkillsStrong organizational and leadership skillsBS/BA in Marketing, Business or related field Desired Qualifications - Desired but not required.Agency Management experienceDigital Merchandising or Digital Marketing experienceCustomer Facing Taxonomy Project experience
