What Youâll Be Doing:
đ©ș Clinical Mastery
+ Perform a full range of echocardiographic procedures, including:
+ 2D echo
+ CW/PW Doppler
+ Color flow imaging
+ Stress echocardiograms
+ Contrast studies
+ (Pediatric/neonatal echo as applicable)
+ Interpret and analyse hemodynamic data to support accurate, timely diagnoses
+ Collaborate directly with cardiologists and care teams to ensure seamless patient care
+ Maintain clean, safe, and fully stocked workspaces, including proper use of high-level disinfectants

+ Communicate clearly and compassionatelyâalways using plain language and teach-back techniques
+ Keep patients informed of visit details, including delays and next steps
+ Create warm, meaningful connections by rounding on patients and responding to their questions with empathy and care
+ Foster an inclusive space where all patients feel seen, heard, and valued
đ Ongoing Learning & Contribution
+ Stay up to date with emerging practices through workshops, in-services, and continuing education
+ Maintain certifications (CPR required) and complete all annual competencies
+ Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including ICAEL accreditation processes and patient safety initiatives
+ Offer new ideas and insights to help shape a more efficient and patient-centred clinic

Qualifications
+ What Weâre Looking For:
đ Education
+ High School Diploma or GED â required
+ Associate Degree â preferred
+ Certification Program in lieu of Associate Degree â accepted
+ Graduation from a formal Cardiovascular Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) â preferred
đ©ș Experience
+ Two (2) years of echocardiography experience â preferred
đ Licensure/Certification
+ Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or RCS) â required
+ New graduates will have six (6) months to obtain registry
đ§ Additional Skills
+ Ability to complete department-specific skills validation and competency testing successfully
+ Demonstrates age-appropriate care skills and ability to adapt services based on individual patient needs
+ Strong verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
+ Commitment to high reliability practices and Novant Healthâs âFirst Do No Harmâ philosophy
